We collect the following information when you use ContentIQ:

• Email address — when you join the waitlist or sign up for a paid plan
• WhatsApp number — only if you opt into WhatsApp report delivery
• Instagram account data — posts, engagement metrics, follower counts, and insights, accessed via the official Meta Graph API with your explicit permission
• YouTube channel data — video performance metrics and channel analytics, accessed via the YouTube Data API v3 with your explicit permission
• LinkedIn data — post performance and engagement data, accessed via the LinkedIn API with your explicit permission
• Usage data — basic analytics about how you interact with our website (page views, referral source)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to provide the ContentIQ service:

• Generating your weekly AI-powered content strategy report
• Delivering that report to your email or WhatsApp
• Improving the accuracy and relevance of our recommendations
• Communicating with you about your account, product updates, or service changes

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your social media data for any purpose other than generating your personal strategy report.

3. Social Media Data — Specific Commitments

When you connect your Instagram, YouTube, or LinkedIn account to ContentIQ:

• We access only the data necessary to generate your report (posts, engagement, reach, follower metrics)
• We do not post, comment, like, or take any action on your behalf without explicit instruction
• We do not share your social media data with any third party
• We do not use your data to train AI models beyond what is needed to generate your individual report
• You can revoke access at any time via your Instagram, YouTube, or LinkedIn security settings

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate ContentIQ:

• Resend — email delivery
• Twilio — WhatsApp message delivery
• Supabase — secure database storage
• Anthropic — AI report generation (Claude API)
• Vercel — website hosting
• Stripe — payment processing

Each provider is contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the service they provide to us.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you have an active ContentIQ account. If you cancel your account or request deletion:

• Your personal data (email, WhatsApp number) is deleted within 30 days
• Your social media metrics data is deleted within 30 days
• Anonymised, aggregated performance benchmarks (with no personally identifiable information) may be retained for service improvement

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of all your data
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent — disconnect your social accounts at any time

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage, secure API communication (HTTPS), and access controls. No system is 100% secure — if you become aware of any security issue, please contact us immediately at privacy@trycontentiq.com.

We use minimal cookies strictly necessary to operate the website (session management, form submission). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

ContentIQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our product evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of ContentIQ after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
